🚨 ORGANIZATIONAL RESTRUCTURE 🚨
Today marks a meaningful milestone in the evolution of the Battlehart Foundation. It is a moment rooted in reflection, maturity, and growth.
We have officially entered the final stage of our three-year strategic plan. With that progression comes necessary alignment.
After considerable thought and prayerful consideration, we are restructuring our mission's overlanding division. Moving forward, there will be significant adjustments to how outdoor activities are incorporated into the Foundation’s work.
This is not a departure from overlanding. It is an evolution.
When this journey began, overlanding was deeply personal. It was a lifeline. It was healing. It created connection, brotherhood, fundraising opportunities, and a network of extraordinary individuals.
However, as the Foundation has grown, so has its responsibility.
What began as a passion-driven outlet slowly expanded into large-scale events, industry exposure, and increasing operational demands. While those experiences brought growth and visibility, they also shifted the emotional center of the mission.
The Foundation was never intended to exist as a commercial overlanding brand. It was built to serve veterans battling trauma, particularly those facing PTSD.
As President, it is my responsibility to ensure that our structure reflects our purpose.
Effective immediately:
- Large-scale overlanding events and expos will no longer be a primary focus.
- Outdoor activities will continue in smaller, intentional settings — centered on community, restoration, and authentic connection.
- The Foundation’s primary emphasis will shift toward peer-to-peer veteran support and legislative advocacy.
Creatively and fundamentally, our mission remains the same: to fight for those who fought for us.
This restructuring provides clarity. It removes expectations from individuals who may have connected with us primarily through an industry lens rather than the broader mission. It also reinforces that the Battlehart Foundation stands for veterans — all veterans — without political or ideological division.
PTSD does not discriminate. It does not care about political affiliation, background, or belief system. Our commitment remains to unity, dignity, and service under the flag of the United States of America.
From Ballistic Overland to Vengeance Overland, and now as a federally recognized 501(c)(3), the name has evolved — but the mission has matured.
This next chapter is not a contraction. It is refinement.
We are choosing focus over noise. Purpose over popularity. Impact over industry.
We are grateful for every individual who has walked alongside us in this journey. The path ahead is clear.
Salute, Oscar-Mike. - Brandon Battlehart
